IRISH OPEN 2004

The Scotland squad travelled to Dublin, Ireland, to compete in the Irish Open 2004.  This competition is one of the largest open tournaments in Europe with over 2000 competitors, from as far a field as Italy, Norway, USA, Germany, Holland, Belgium as well as Ireland and the UK.  All the fighters competed extremely well with maybe only  some competition experience letting them occasionally down.

The team brought back 5 trophies to Scotland, Erin Baine took 3rd in semi contact, Karen McGregor took 3rd in light contact, Jackie Ralston took 2nd in light contact and Craig Foster and Kate Kearney both took 1st in light contact.

With a few competitions under their belt hopefully more fighters will bring back silverware next year.
